Description

Join your local hosts for a three-hour forest adventure in the peaceful landscapes surrounding Kiiskilänmäki observation tower in Uurainen.

We’ll wander through bogs and forest paths to pick nature’s seasonal treasures — wild berries that have ripened under the northern sun and fresh air. Along the way, you’ll learn about Finland’s berry-picking traditions and the role these superfoods play in local culture.

After berry picking, we gather around a crackling campfire at the base of the tower. Together, we’ll prepare a hearty campfire meal in a traditional Lappish hut, enjoy warm drinks, and taste the flavors of the forest you’ve just explored.

If you wish, you can climb the nearby observation tower to admire sweeping views of endless forest landscapes stretching to the horizon — a perfect way to round off your day in the wild.

You’ll return from this experience with a basket of berries, the taste of campfire cooking, and a deeper connection to Finland’s forest traditions.
